Pope’s Climate Theory

About 2000 years ago, there was a Roman Warm Period and then it got cold.  About  1000 years ago, there was a Medieval  Warm Period and then it got cold. That was called the Little Ice Age.  It is warm now because it is supposed to be warm now.  It is a natural cycle and we did not cause it.

When the oceans are warm and wet, it snows more and that bounds the upper limits of temperature and sea level.  When the oceans are cold and frozen, it snows less and that bounds the lower limits of temperature and sea level.

CO2 just makes green things grow better, while using less water.

The oceans are always wet. do you mean to say ‘when humidity is high’?

    • I mean that you get water for lake effect snow from a thawed lake. I mean that you get water for ocean effect snow from a thawed ocean. The humidity does not get above 100%, it matters how much moisture passes through, not how high the highest humidity got.

    • The surface of oceans are not wet when they are frozen over. The surface of oceans are only wet when they are thawed.

  2. Quite so. The Roman Period was warmer than the present, and there was also a period that was warmer still just over 3,200 years ago. There is compelling correlation between climate cycles and the inverted plot of the scalar sum of the angular momentum of the Sun and all the planets. This is because the magnetic fields from the planets reach to the Sun and affect the direction and flux of cosmic rays. Those rays that reach Earth affect cloud formation and that, in turn, affects albedo and hence temperature. Note the graphic on my website http://climate-change-theory.com and watch the linked videos.

    • For ice accumulation, measured in ice cores, there is better correlation with more ice accumulation in warm times and less ice accumulation in cold times. it gets colder after more ice accumulates and it gets warmer after less ice accumulates. correlation is not always causation, but it with the ice accumulation.
